Understanding ADHD Medication for ADHD Therapists is a stand-alone module (originally from DIY*ADHD: Couples) that gives therapists, counsellors and coaches both the knowledge and resources they need to fulfill competency standards, feel confidant providing accurate psychoeducation about the role of ADHD medication, so patients can get the high quality of complete care they deserve. 


By the end of this module, you will:


  1. Learn what our prefrontal cortex is responsible for in our daily functioning,
  2. Understand the efficacy of psychostimulant medication and its effect on therapy,
  3. Understand the difference between an unmedicated versus medicated ADHD brain,
  4. Help clients evaluate effective symptom control,
  5. Understand and address the barriers that lead to a poor treatment experience.
