In this effiecient 30-minute course, you’ll gain essential, up-to-date psychoeducation on the critical role of ADHD medication in psychotherapy for adults, and where to integrate into your treatment planning.


This course provides evidenced-based information on:

  • the efficacy of psychostimulant medication,
  • medicated vs. unmedicated ADHD brains,
  • how to assess treatment effectiveness and
  • how to identify invisible treatment barriers. 



By the end of this module, you will:

Learn what our prefrontal cortex is responsible for in our daily functioning (and how that shows up in the session room),

Understand the efficacy of psychostimulant medication and its effect on therapy,

Understand the difference between an under-medicated versus medicated ADHD brain,

Help clients identify and evaluate effective symptom control,

Understand and address the barriers that lead to a poor treatment experience (including medication stigma).

About Christina

Christina is a neurodivergent-affirming Registered Psychotherapist, Certified IPT Therapist and Validated Clinical Supervisor. Christina works with individuals (ages 16+), couples and families.

Christina has been treating ADHD for over a decade, as well as training new therapists as a practicum supervisor and providing ADHD-specific clinical supervision and consultation to practicing therapists. Christina is a regular presenter on ADHD for presentations to the general public, workplaces and at scientific meetings on ADHD.
